Lemonade Scones ~ Personal Work

Lemonade scones on a rainy day.

Recipe

4 cups S.R flour

1 cup cream

Enough lemonade to bring to a soft dough (this varies according to flour itself).

Sift flour and make a well in the centre, add cream and start to work into dough. Add lemonade and bring together with a wooden spoon. Turn onto a floured board and knead lightly with fingertips. Cut into appropriate shapes. Bake in oven at 200 degrees for 12-15 mins or so.

Perfect every time …….

This is such a lovely collection of images Linda! the vintage style of processing is perfect for them! Is that your lovely handwriting or your mum/grandma’s? I recently used lemonade in a berry cobbler, so thank you for inspiring me to try it in my next batch of scones!

Thank you Catherine. I have an affinity for hand written recipes, this being a favourite, but sadly the handwriting isn’t mine, the recipe was given to me by a friend. Berry cobbler …. mmm, now that sounds yummy!
